Last May marked the 180th anniversary of the Official Provincial Journal of Girona. Since 1834, our official press body has published without interruption decrees, orders, circulars, announcements, calls and other notices, in order to facilitate the functioning of administrations in the province of Girona and to establish a fluid relationship with citizens.
In 2008 the paper version changed to an electronic version, and the Provincial Council decided to digitise the entire previous collection, with the aim of conserving the original copies and facilitating access to their content: 315,959 pages. In the last two years, 13,400 visits have been registered by 2,573 different users.
No budget has been assigned for 2015.
